Stroll along every Sunday
The view's terrific at HarborWalk Art Show

Each Sunday HarborWalk Village hosts a colorful and whimsical Art Show on the Destin Harbor. The show features incredible artwork from some of the Emerald Coast's most noted artists.

The show, which is held from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m., will include such artists as Don Sawyer, Judy Goodfellow, Pam Camp, Michael McCarty, Connie Chartier, Judy Shillingburg, Susan Fedullo Strong, Mary Schmiedicke, Tony Krysinsky, Michael John Cheney, Diane Stark and Travis Teate.

Don Sawyer is best described as expressionistic colorist.

Susan Sato Strong's style is called Gyotaku. Gyotaku means fish rubbing or impression (pronounced 'gee-oh-tahuu'), and has been practiced by Japanese sportsman since the early 1800's to preserve records of their catches.

Diane Stark draws inspiration for her unique and one of a kind jewelry from her home on the beautiful Emerald Coast of Florida.

Mary Schmiedicke has found her niche in kiln-formed glass art and glass mosaics.

Sparkling blue green water, sugar white sand, and the magnificent shore birds that make our nations beach and wetlands their home are some of Shalimar artist Judy Goodfellow's favorite subjects.

Tony Krysinsky follows the ancient tradition of simple storytelling with his painted wood engravings.

Michael John Cheney started his interest in art as a child and young adult with drawing and pen and ink. For the last six years has been quietly developing his craft and material as a photographer.

Judy Shillingburg is a prolific artist whose unique approach to watercolor has established her easily recognizable style.

Diane Stark and her husband cut, sand, drill, prime and paint original wood works in a warehouse in Panama City.

Connie Charter mixes natural clay from Thailand and Japan to create beautiful flowers.

Michael McCarty has designed album covers for the following: Little Richard, James Brown, Patti Smith, Isaac Hayes, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and Sam and Dave.

Travis L. Teate is an artist who has enthusiastically ingrained himself into the Destin area. Teate exploded onto the market with passionate works on Ballroom Dance and Ballet.

There will also be something for the kids to enjoy. Kids can discover their artistic flair with hands-on interactive art activities provided by the Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation. A variety of exciting arts and crafts projects will be offered each Sunday from 12 noon to 4 p.m. at HarborWalk Village. Volunteers will assist children of all ages to create their own works of art.

Parent or guardian supervision is required.
