The Donna Burgess Gallery is located at the Market Shops at Sandestin and has been in the shops since 1999. Donna is famous in Northwest Florida for capturing the beauty and joy of coastal life through her watercolor interpretations, bold acrylics on canvas and award-winning festival poster art. Her work features scenes of coastal life such as tin-roof beach cottages, animals and children at play, marine creatures and colorful tropical plant life.
The gallery has recently expanded adding new equipment, which allows them to stretch canvases, cut mats and customize framing for customers on site. Their state-of-the-art computerized mat cutter allows customers to select their own font style, insert clip art and more - all in just a few minutes. It is the only frame shop offering these customized services in the local area. They also offer a vast selection of high quality mouldings for framing personally selected by Burgess.
You'll find Donna's prints, originals and canvas pieces at the gallery. You'll also find her mothers' whimsical artwork of women on the beach. Donna can be commissioned to create impressionist watercolor portraits of children, pets, architecture, and much more or to decorate a condo from start to finish.
In addition to the artwork, the gallery offers a variety of other services. They can dry mount images, laminate artwork for outside use, design logos, create brochures, alter or touchup photography, create personalized wrapping paper and invitations. It would be easier to list the services they can't provide!!
Due to popular demand, Burgess recently began a watercolor workshop program. She holds a three day watercolor painting workshop each month at the Market Shops at Sandestin.
