Happy Birthday to You Scoops! Happy Birthday to You Scoops! On Friday, August 21, Pensacola Pelicans mascot, Scoop, invites all local mascots to Pelican Park to help celebrate the mascots' birthday.

All Pelicans fans, staff and those just wishing to celebrate the winged mascot's special day are encouraged to dress as their favorite character or superhero to join in the fun.

Prizes will be awarded for best costume - so show up really dressed for the part. The Pelicans will have birthday cake for Scoop, provided by The Cake Shop, and you will be part of the party - singing Happy Birthday to Scoop on the field, in between innings!

The delicious birthday cake will then be available for fans to taste.

Your favorite lifestyle and entertainment magazine, Splash!, will be on hand for the evening with free copies of our publications and

some extra little goodies to add zest to the evening!

Scoop's mascot friends will also throw out the First Pitch, prior to game time.

Scoop boasts some pretty amazing stats: Height: 5 ' 5 " ; Weight: 210 lbs; Bats: Right; Throws: Right ; Position: First Base.

This incentive-based program is free to schools and is easily adaptable for any curriculum or grade level.

Teachers assign appropriately challenging books, articles, or other fun and informative "reads" for students based on courseload and individual skill level.
