Be sure to visit the Pensacola Museum of Art during the Month of October to view Earth Elements: Earth inspired artwork by three Florida artists.
The works featured were created by Florida artists Melani Brewer, Pam Moody and Maya Schonenberger will represent a variety of mediums, including fiber works, ceramics, and jewelry.
Pam Moody is self-taught in the ceramic arts. As a native of Florida, she is especially interested in creating both indigenous and invasive species from this state. She enjoys portraying subjects both realistically as well as in a non-traditional, humorous, or out of context state.
Maya Schonenberger creates fiber work and jewelry pieces, in which she focuses on the interaction of humans with nature and the changes that result from this process.
Melani Brewer has always loved working with textiles, exotic yarns and threads. Her interest in biology and the environment facilitated her to make the natural leap to fiber works.
