PLT’s ‘Christmas Belles’ a redneck holiday comedy

2009-12-01 / Live Entertainment

“Christmas Belles” opens December 11 for a two-weekend run at Pensacola Little Theatre.

For the first time, Honey Rae Futrelle is running her church Christmas pageant in Fayro, Texas, but between her offbeat sisters, eccentric townfolk, and one crisis after another, will she be able to pull it off? “Christmas Belles” is a southern farce about squabbling sisters, family secrets, a surly Santa, vengeful sheep and a reluctant Elvis impersonator.

Director Jerry Ahillen has assembled a talented cast of comedic actors, including Barbara Jacobs, Jennifer King, Maureen McNeill, Jaye Lycan, Sydney Taylor , Stephen C. Lott, Katherine Bishop, Michelle Hancock, Wayne Peacock, Ken Cunningham, and Candi Bramlett.

Performances are Dec.11- 13 and 17-20; Thu., Fri. and Sat. shows at 7:30 p.m.; Sundays at 2:30 p.m.

Tickets are available at the Box Office or by phone at (850) 432-2042.
