Watch Ed Asner as FDR at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center Veteran stage and screen actor Ed Asner will perform in the national tour of the solo performance drama, "FDR", at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center in Niceville at 7:30 p.m. FDR is based upon Dore Schary's Broadway hit "Sunrise at Campobello" and explores the life of one of America's bestloved presidents and the events and decisions that shaped a nation. Recently he was the voice of "Carl Fredricksen" in Disney Pixar's animated movie "Up".Mr. Asner's New York City Theatre credits include Ivanov, The Tempest, Face of a Hero, King Henry V, and Born Yesterday. Just in time for Black History Month, Dr. Bethune's life with be put on display as her accomplishments and life will be presented in a theatre setting. The African American Heritage Society will present Ersula Knox Odom as an actor portraying the good Doctor. Go back in time to 1954 and meet the founder of Bethune- Cookman College.
