There is no denying that Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Gustav Mahler are iconic figures in music. On Saturday, March 6at 8p.m. in the Saenger Theatre, the Pensacola Symphony is thrilled to present a masterful pairing of Mozart and Mahler under the baton of Maestro Peter Rubardt.
Supremely difficult to perform, the work is also “the high point of an orchestra’s artistic achievement,” according to Maestro Peter Rubardt, and “sure to be a big night for the Pensacola Symphony.”
Mahler is known for rich orchestration and creating haunting moods through melodies.
