Make a splash at the Florida Gulfarium
The dolphin show is the main attraction at the Florida Gulfarium.
The Florida Gulf Coast is home to one of the premiere aquatic wildlife facilities – The Florida Gulfarium.
Florida's Gulfarium was founded on Okaloosa Island in August of 1955 by marine biologist, John Brandon Siebenaler. The park itself, lies on a sun drenched beachfront of the Gulf of Mexico.
Although business hours may vary according to the season, the park is open daily at 9 a.m., rain or shine.
The main attractions of Florida's Gulfarium are three live marine shows, which showcase the talents of various marine mammals, such as sea lions and bottlenose dolphins. The series begins with the famous Dolphin Show, featuring the park's trained bottlenose dolphins performing in the main tank.
Following this show is a kid's favorite, the Sea Lion Exhibition. Rounding out the program of shows is the Multi-Species Show, which features both sea lions and bottlenose dolphins performing side-by-side.
If you desire an intimate encounter with one of the park's animals, look into the Gulfarium's Dolphin Meet and Greet. Each session is about 10 minutes with 5 additional minutes of instruction. For over 55 years, Florida's Gulfarium has sought to provide both an educational and entertaining experience for all of its guests. Its mission is the same as it was on opening day in 1955, "To Educate, Inform and Inspire."
