Take off this Summer at the National Naval Aviation Museum
The National Naval Aviation Museum features FREE admission and a full slate of events throughout the year. The National Naval Aviation Museum features nearly 300,000 square feet of displays and is one of the world’s largest aviation museums. Located aboard Pensacola Naval Air Station, the facility boasts more than 150 beautifully restored aircraft representing Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard aviation and is one of Florida’s most-visited museums. Among the countless things to touch, see and experience are thrilling Top Gun Air Combat flight simulators, a variety of special exhibits as well as the drama and power of amazing IMAX® films on a seven-story giant screen. The Cubi Bar Café offers a unique dining experience, and the Flight Deck Store is the perfect place to find a memento of the spirit of Naval Aviation. The National Naval Aviation Museum is open daily from 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Museum admission is free and open to the public.
Visitors will be able to journey through distant galaxies on a seven story giant IMAX screen and experience the Blue Angels soaring overhead this summer at the National Naval Aviation Museum. Along with exploring the 300,000-square foot aviation museum, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about Naval Aviation through the Discovery Saturday series, and many more special events and concerts.
MUSEUM HAPPENINGS
Hubble Journey through distant galaxies to explore the grandeur and mysteries of our celestial surroundings, and accompany spacewalking astronauts as they attempt the most difficult and important tasks in NASA's history. Narrated by Leonardo DiCaprio, the IMAX® film is shown on a giant, seven-story screen, the largest IMAX® screen in Fla., daily at noon and 4 p.m. Also showing daily, “The Magic of Flight” and “FIGHTER PILOT: Operation Red Flag.” For IMAX® movie schedule and ticket prices visit NavalAviationMuseum.org.
Blue Angels practices June 1, 2*, 8, 9*, 15, 16*, 22, 23*, July 13, 14*, 20, August 10, 11*, 18, 19*, 24, 25* starting 8:30 a.m. most Tuesday and Wednesday mornings through early November. The world-famous Blue Angels Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron will hold weekly air show practices aboard NAS Pensacola behind the Museum. *Autograph sessions inside the Museum typically follow each Wednesday practice. Free and open to the public.
Discovery Saturday Book Signing
June 12 Sidney Phillips featured in the HBO mini series, The Pacific, will present a book signing.
July 17 - Space related activities for the whole family and presentation by Russell Romanella from NASA.
August 21 - Bruce Gamble, "Fortress Rabaul" presentation/book signing.

Air National Guard Band of the South perform a FREE concert - 2 p.m., Saturday, June 12
US Air Force Reserve Band perform a FREE concert - 7:30 p.m., Friday, August 27
