Mutant plant invades Downtown Pensacola
Skid Row florist shop worker Seymour Krelborn has discovered a strange new plant that requires human blood for nourishment.
As the plant – dubbed Audrey II – grows, so does Seymour’s fame and the popularity of the flower shop. But as the plant demands more and more blood, Seymour becomes an unwitting pawn in Audrey II’s plan to take over the Earth!
She will begin her bid for domination right here in Pensacola as the star of Pensacola Little Theatre’s “Little Shop of Horrors.”
Directing the musical is Theresa Myers, a regular volunteer at Pensacola Little Theatre. Recent productions directed by Myers include “Wit” and “Arsenic and Old Lace.”
The role of Seymour is played by Gavin Parmley, a Gulf Breeze resident who has appeared in a number of past PLT productions, including “The Producers,” “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum,” and “The Rocky Horror Show.” Portraying Audrey, the woman Seymour secretly loves, is Amy Pearson, who was recently featured in “Victor/Victoria.” The villainous plant Audrey II is voiced by David Suhor, and manipulated by puppeteers Dom Johnson and Ryan Beard.
Additional cast members are Carlos Ashby, Lani Brannon, Kat Cooper, Victoria Cruz, Joseph Garnett, Patricia Hartley, Ben Holsworth, Jade Johnson, Phil Johnson, Denley Messerley, Kadeidre Still, Nathan Toepfer, Angela West, Nethaneel Williams, and Matthew Woessner.
