Saturday summer events at Fort Pickens
Join a park ranger every Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m. for a 1.5 mile walk around west end of Santa Rosa Island to Pensacola Pass. Meet at Battery Payne for the one-hour walk.
Also, a one-hour program on Pensacola Prisoners will be held at Fort Pickens Auditorium at 3:30 p.m. Discover the stories of the prisoners once held at historic Fort Pickens including Civil War prisoners and the Chiricahua Apaches.

Two shows, “Poultry in Motion” and “Puss in Boots open at Pensacola Little Theatre for the first of four show dates.
“Poultry in Motion,” by Patrick Rainville Dorn, is sunny-side-up comedy, loaded with silly situations, crackpot characters, slapstick humor and outrageous puns!
“Puss in Boots,” by Vera Morris, tells the tale of an extraordinary feline – left to Tom, a miller's son, as an inheritance.
Show dates include July 10-11 and 17-18, with Saturday shows at 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. and Sunday shows at 2:30 p.m.

St. Michael’s Cemetery Foundation Inc., in partnership with the University of West Florida and Florida Public Archaeology Network, presents a handson, family-friendly workshop from 10 a.m. to noon to teach students how Spanish Surveyor General Vincente Pintado conducted his survey of Pensacola in the early 19th century and how survey technology has changed over time. Another workshop is scheduled for July 31.

The annual Gulf Coast Wings of Hope garage sale fundraiser will be held on Thursday, July 15 through Saturday, July 17 at the Pensacola Interstate Fairgrounds in the Expo Hall. The National Naval Aviation Museum, aboard NAS Pensacola presents Blast Off! Space day – featuring a presentation at 10 a.m. by Russell Romanella, director of the International Space Station.
