A hammerhead shark is spotted in Destin
A Shark Tank Exhibit has opened at the Destin History and Fishing Museum, housing three sharks in a“shark tank” visible from the road.
The three shark mounts featured in the shark tank are a small hammerhead shark, an 8 1/2 foot hammerhead, and a Florida Smooth Hound. The smooth hound was the International Game Fishing Association winner, caught April 1992 on the charter boat ‘Shooting Star’ with Capt. David Rojas.
The museum also houses an exhibit featuring award-winning examples of fish caught in Destin.
