Double Bridge Run

Saturday, Feb. 4 at 7 a.m. 15K start | 8:30 a.m. 5K start 101 W. Main St., Pensacola | Shuttles available from Pensacola Beach

The Pensacola Double Bridge Run Presented by Publix is one of the premier 15K races in the country. The 15K carries runners over two bridges, across Pensacola Bay and Santa Rosa Sound. It will run from downtown Pensacola with a tour that includes the historic district, and picturesque Bayfront Parkway, a run through Gulf Breeze, and onto Pensacola Beach. The 5K invites both runners and walkers to travel from Gulf Breeze to beautiful Pensacola Beach on Santa Rosa Island and the Gulf Islands Seashore.

“Dance 23” Dancing Through the Decades 50th Anniversary Kickoff Party

Let the chopping begin, at the Flora- Bama’s “Super” Bowl Chili Cook-Off on Super Bowl Saturday. Teams of 3 register beforehand and will even dress up to show team spirit. They work their chili wizardry to win with their version of the best chili ever, and will receive an award at the end of the day. If you don’t want to cook, come by and sample the wide variety of dishes.

For the ninth consecutive year, Jackson’s is proud to partner once again with the Pensacola Opera to present “Dinner and an Aria” at Jackson’s Steakhouse. Pensacola Opera’s Artists in Residence program continues to provide training and performance experience for young

opera professionals. In residence here in Pensacola January through March, these artists perform roles on the main stage and appear in numerous educational and community outreach programs — as well as perform at Jackson’s! Come out and see these remarkable young singers perform some light opera and musical theatre pieces you’re sure to recognize. Opera newcomers and enthusiasts alike will enjoy! The 2016-17 Artists in Residence are Evelyn Saavedra (soprano), Gillian Cotter (mezzosoprano), John Riesen (tenor) and Brent Hetherington (baritone) with Joshua Horsch accompanying on the piano. There will be two seatings for the event: 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. In addition to their full dinner menu, which will be available for the evening, Chef Miller has prepared a special feature; hickory-fired Wagyu zabuton with cabernet sauce, creamed collards, and parsnip-carrot hash.
