Fashion and fun for a cause

It’s time to think fashionably about the future and to spring into action for the good of the community.

Have a wonderful time doing both at the May 12 “Spring Into Fashion” luncheon at Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church, located at 75 Fairpoint Drive. Doors will open at 10 a.m. for browsers and shopping, and the event will conclude at 2 p.m.

The menu will feature chicken caesar salad and bread, with strawberry shortcake for dessert.

Tickets are $25, with proceeds going to Interfaith

Ministries and the Gulf Breeze Good Samaritan Clinic.

They are available for purchase at the church office, at

Interfaith Ministries at 4339 Gulf Breeze Pkwy., or from a volunteer for the event.

In addition to the delicious luncheon, the event will include a fashion show to showcase the latest and most flattering trends, along with a chance to check out jewelry and items from well-known vendors such as Mary Kay™ cosmetics and Pampered Chef™ .

You may even go home a winner of one of the fabulous door prizes or the happy new owner of items you’ve been able to pick up at the raffle and silent auction.

The public is invited to support this effort to assist those in need and to enjoy the entertaining day filled with multiple shopping opportunities for the upcoming fashion season, along with a delicious meal.

Interfaith Ministries offers other opportunities to assist through its thrift shop, which accepts donations from the public for resale.

Its Good Samaritan Clinic helps the medically needy who have no health insurance by providing free medical care and medication, and its financial office offers assistance for expenses such as rent, mortgage, utilities and emergency needs. In 2015, Interfaith Ministries assisted more than 6,900 people and made an economic impact on the local economy of more than $6 million.
