For a ‘grand’ holiday event, choose The Grand Marlin

It’s never too soon to start planning a holiday event at The Grand Marlin Restaurant and Oyster Bar, located at 400 Pensacola Beach Blvd. on Pensacola Beach. In fact, the beach favorite has already started accepting requests for such celebrations, but banquet coordinator Natalie Liongson says there are still prime dates available.

“The sooner you secure your date, the sooner you can relax and leave the details to us,” she says. Natalie may be contacted at (850) 677-9238, at (850) 677-9153 or at Nliongson@thegrandmarlin.com.

The Grand Marlin’s regular operating schedule runs 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday. The North Drop Bar stays open an additional hour each evening. While the facility will be closed on Christmas Day, it will be open until 9 p.m. Christmas Eve.

During the holiday season, private dining areas are decorated with beautiful traditional poinsettias, wreaths and garland, but guests are welcome to add special touches of their own with centerpieces and other décor.

Menus for those special occasions include three-course pre-fixed plans for private dining. Salad, entrée and dessert courses are built around a delicious variety of choices that typically include some of The Grand Marlin’s most popular every day menu items, with some tempting specialty selections making an appearance, as well.

On Thursday evenings and during Sunday brunches, entertainment is offered, and the North Drop patio will be the site of some special holiday fun on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

Guests are encouraged to add unique approaches to holiday celebrations at The Grand Marlin, as well. Natalie says her favorites include the addition of a photo booth, Ugly Sweater contests and Secret Santa or White Elephant gift exchanges to keep party participants in a celebratory spirit.

If your holiday needs are more focused on gift-giving than party hosting, The Grand Marlin is still your answer. Gift cards are available at the restaurant or online at thegrandmarlin.com.

The Gift Card Bonus kicks off Nov. 15. Guests who purchase gift cards worth $50 or $100, up until Dec. 30, will receive an additional bonus card worth 20 percent of the cards they have purchased. Bonus cards can be used for food only from Jan. 1-Feb. 28, 2018, making them a lovely way to ensure friends and family have something to look forward to in the post-holiday season. Or you may choose to “reward” yourself for your wise choice of The Grand Marlin Restaurant and Oyster Bar for your celebratory holiday needs.

In either instance, you will be delighted with the memorable additions to your party and gift needs provided by the staff at The Grand Marlin Restaurant and Oyster Bar.
