Florida Master Naturalists

This naturalist program is a hands-on outdoor learning experience for adults that informs and prepares them to share information about this area’s natural world and environmental history.

Sign up now for the 40-hour class that will meet Tuesdays from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. March 13 through April 24. Santa Rosa and Escambia county extension agents will be in charge of the Florida Master Naturalist Program.

The registration fee of $275 includes classroom instruction, field trips and practical interpretive experiences related to the general ecology, habitats, vegetation types, wildlife and conservation issues of local wetland systems.

There will be field trips to Yellow River Marsh State Park, Splinter Hill Pitcher Plant Bog, Gull Point Preserve, Arcadia Mill archeological site, the Mobile-Tensaw Delta and more.
