Chocolate Fest 2018 offers chocolate lovers the perfect opportunity to indulge April 7 from noon to 1 p.m. with VIP tickets and from 1 to 3 p.m. for general admission at Cordova Mall in Pensacola at 5100 North 9th Ave.

Sandy Sansing Dealerships sponsor this 15th annual fund raising event that benefits Gulf Coast Kid’s House and helps ensure child abuse victims of abuse and neglect receive timely, effective and streamlined treatment.

You’ll get to walk through the corridors of Cordova Mall and fill up “to-go” boxes with mouth-watering chocolate treats donated by popular local restaurants.

VIP tickets for exclusive access are $20, with general admission tickets going for $15.

The 2018 chocolatiers include Sam’s Fun City, Olive Garden, Kayden’s Candy Factory Pensacola, Rodrizio Brazilian Steakhouse—Pensacola, Starbucks, iHeartRadio, Shirley’s Deli and Catering, Whataburger, Kookiekraze.com-Themed Cookies and Papa John’s Pizza, with more creative “sweet” artists in chocolate being added daily.

Gulf Coast Kid’s House facilitates a collaborative response to child abuse cases, ensuring that medical exams, recorded interviews, prosecution and mental health counseling occur in a single child-friendly facility.

This “one-stop” concept helps reduce the trauma children experience greatly and leads to better case outcomes, according to a spokesman.

In 2017, GCKH provided services to more than 3,800 child victims of abuse and neglect.

GCKH gives children who are abused a safe, child-centered place to report the trauma they have suffered and provides timely, effective assistance, designed to address the specific abuse each child has experienced. GCKH believes this approach helps children and families experience reduced trauma and better case coordination, leading to better case outcomes.
