Hungry for fun? Satisfy that craving at Bamboo Willie’s

Crawfish feasting and music listening are on the menu for the 17th Annual Crawfish Festival at Bamboo Willie’s April 20-22 at 400 Quietwater Beach Road on the water.

Twenty musical acts will be in play on Bamboo Willie’s stage and the amphitheater stage throughout all three festival days. (See accompanying schedule of performers.) In addition, there will be good eating, with Mudbug Express preparing Louisiana crawfish and Pensacola Beach Chamber of Commerce benefitting from the sale of plates, which will also feature corn, potatoes, onions and mushrooms. Order by the pound for $10 or in a three-pound flat for $20.

The boardwalk alcohol ban will be lifted for the event, as well, so lots of refreshment will be available.

The festival will be up and running April 20 from noon to 10 p.m., April 21 from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. and April 22 from 11 a.m.-7 p.m.

On that Saturday, the Crawfish 5k, with proceeds dedicated to Pensacola Beach Elementary School, will get under way at 8 a.m. at Casino Beach parking lot by the pavilion.

Sign up through April 7 for $25, from April 8-19 for $35 and on April 20 and 21 for $40. Online registration closes at midnight on April 20.

Packet pick-up will be that same day from 3-6 p.m. at Running Wild at 3012 East Cervantes in

Pensacola.

There will be merchant sidewalk sales and local artists at work on April 21 and 22 all around the party site at Bamboo Willie’s and fireworks will light up the night on April 21 at 9 p.m.

So eat your heart out and dance on down to the crawfish festival on the beach. It’s where all the fun lovers will be.
