Interstate Mullet Toss and Gulf Coast’s Greatest Beach Party

It happens every year on the last full weekend in April, so head for 17401 Perdido Key Drive in Pensacola April 27-29 for the Interstate Mullet Toss and Gulf Coast’s Greatest Beach Party.

If you want to try your mullet tossing skills, practice up and see if you can throw a dead mullet over the state line between Florida and Alabama farther than anyone else.

If you want to “spectate,” claim your place in the sun for three days of revelry that also includes great music and terrific food and drink with some dedicated party-goers.

The cover charge (Gulf side only) for the three day event that starts at noon April 27 is $10 for those 21 years of age and older and $15 for those 13-20 years old, with limited entry and those 21 and older solely admitted after 6 p.m. each day.

Funds raised from the tossing events that begin at high noon each day go to local charities. There is a $20,000 tradition to beat and the money that comes in will mostly benefit youth organizations.

On April 28 and 29, the fun will get under way at 10 a.m.
