It’s the 75th anniversary of the Pensacola Humane Society and the “paw”ty is going to be so much fun. Known as Paws on Palafox, this dog-friendly 3k walk will begin check-in at 9 a.m. April 28 at Plaza de Luna in downtown Pensacola and will get under way at 10.

The fun goes on and on for this fourth annual event, and you’ll want to enjoy it all.

To begin with, you and your pet can join the hundreds of other human and dog duos headed straight through the heart of downtown Pensacola, along Palafox Street through Seville Square and into Historic Pensacola Village. There will be several spirit stations along the way, with sponsorship by local businesses and individuals. The “After Pawty” will begin once walkers complete the full loop back to Plaza de Luna. Look for music, prizes, pet friendly activities, local vendors, food trucks and more.

The “After Pawty” is free and will wrap up about 1:30 p.m.

Registration for Paws on Palafox is $30 and pets will receive a bandana to wear in honor of the occasion.

Register at pensacolahumane.org as an individual team or as part of a “pack” of friends coming together to help raise money for a good cause and, perhaps, to win a prize.
