Parade of Sails

Pensacola will be one of three host ports and the only one in Florida for the Tall Ships Gulf Coast Series. Plaza de Luna/ Palafox Pier at 900 South Palafox St. in downtown Pensacola will be the site April 12-15 for a variety of adventures and opportunities.

Multiple ticket levels are available for the fun that begins at 10 a.m. each day and wraps up at 11 p.m.

Expect onboard tours, sail away ventures, VIP viewing parties and events, private ship receptions, entertainment, food and vending booths, beginning at 3 p.m. April 12 with the Parade of Sails Kick-Off Event.

Elissa is returning to Pensacola after 132 years. In 1886, this vessel—which is on the National Register of Historic Places— sailed here from Galveston, Texas.

The When and If was named courtesy of General George F. Patton’s famous quote: “When the war is over, and if I live through it, Bea and I are going to sail her around the world.” The ship was commissioned by Patton in 1939.

Other ships that will take part include Oosterschelde (1917, Netherlands), Oliver Hazard Perry (2015, U.S.), Picton Castle (1928, Cook Islands) and Lynx (2001, U.S.)
